Submit a Nomination for an ILA Award or Grant

The submissions period for the International Literacy Association’s (ILA) 2025 awards and grants program is now open.

We have the following award and grant opportunities available this year:

  • Diane Lapp & James Flood Professional Collaborator Award
  • Dina Feitelson Research Award ($500)
  • Elva Knight Research Grant ($5,000)
  • Helen M. Robinson Grant ($1,200)
  • Jeanne S. Chall Research Fellowship ($5,000)
  • Jerry Johns Outstanding Teacher Educator in Reading Award ($1,000)
  • Maryann Manning Special Service Award
  • Timothy & Cynthia Shanahan Outstanding Dissertation Award
  • William S. Gray Citation of Merit


This will be of interest to both primary and post-primary teachers.


The campaign challenges everyone to read for an hour on the 8th of September.
